Showroom & Retail Relocation

Showroom Relocation in Dubai

We handle showroom relocation in Dubai for brand showrooms, furniture and lighting showrooms, tile and bathroom showrooms, electronics and fashion stores, and the head offices of retail groups. Display fixtures, stock and sample pieces are moved as separate parts of the job, and your floor layout is rebuilt to plan at the new site.

A showroom earns money only when its doors are open and its displays look right. Every closed day is lost sales, and a scratched glass counter or a broken light box shows on the first day customers walk in. As office movers in Dubai, we plan showroom moves around your last trading day and your opening date, with most of the work done overnight.

What We Move for Showrooms and Retail Offices

A showroom holds items made to be looked at, which is exactly what makes them easy to damage.

01

Glass Display Cases, Vitrines & Counters

Emptied first, then wrapped in padded blankets with corner guards. Loose glass shelves and panels travel UPRIGHT on A-frames in the truck, never flat — flat glass in a moving vehicle is how glass breaks.

02

Gondola Shelving, Slatwall & Wall Bays

Shelving, slatwall panels, wall bays and hanging rails. Anything that comes apart is dismantled and every part is numbered to its own unit, so it goes back together the way it came apart.

03

Mannequins, Busts & Display Forms

Taken apart the way the maker intended, with the parts for each one bagged and labelled together. Heads and hands do not end up on the wrong body.

04

Light Boxes, Screens & Signage

Light boxes, digital screens and freestanding signage. Screens travel in padded cartons; illuminated units are handled as glass, because most of them are.

05

Podiums, Plinths & Display Tables

The pieces that carry your hero products. Corners and visible faces are protected first, because a scuffed plinth edge shows from across a shop floor.

06

Sample Furniture, Lighting & Sanitaryware

Sample furniture, lighting, sanitaryware and tile display boards. Tile boards are heavy, awkward and chip at the edges, so they travel standing and strapped.

07

Mirrors, Brand Graphics & Decorative Pieces

Mirrors and framed brand graphics are corner-protected and travel upright. Decorative pieces are crated where the value or the shape calls for it.

08

Stock & Back-of-House Inventory

Boxed goods, hanging garments and everything in the stock room. Counted, sealed and numbered against an inventory — section 6 is entirely about this.

09

POS, Cash Drawers, Printers & CCTV

Terminals, cash drawers, printers and any CCTV equipment that can be removed. Cash drawers move empty, and emptying them is your team’s job, not ours.

10

Head Office & Merchandising Studios

Workstations, meeting rooms and merchandising studios for retail group head offices. The straightforward part, and the part that moves first.

Fixtures that come apart are dismantled, and each part is numbered to its own unit so it goes back together the same way rather than being matched up by eye at two in the morning. Large glass panels travel upright on A-frames in the truck — never flat.

Protecting Your Display Pieces and Layout

Your displays are part of your brand, so we treat them as finished pieces rather than as furniture.

Glass display panels secured upright on an A-frame for transport in Dubai

Glass is the thing that decides whether a showroom move went well. Cases are emptied before anything is lifted, then wrapped in padded blankets with corner guards fitted to the edges that actually get knocked. Loose shelves and large panels travel upright on A-frames, strapped, because flat glass in a moving truck is how glass breaks.

The second thing that decides it is whether your team can start dressing displays the moment the fixtures land. That is what the position numbers and the pre-packing photographs are for — so the shop floor is rebuilt to your plan, not reassembled from memory.

01

Photographs Before Packing

Each display area is photographed before it is taken apart. Your visual merchandising team uses those photographs and your planogram to rebuild each wall and each table at the new site.

02

Crating for Glass and Delicate Pieces

Glass counters, vitrines and light boxes are wrapped in padded blankets with corner guards. Fragile or high-value items go into timber crates where the piece needs more than wrapping.

03

Mannequins Moved Whole or in Parts

Taken apart the way the maker intended, with the parts for each mannequin bagged and labelled together so nothing is reassembled from a mixed pile.

04

A Position Number for Every Fixture

Every fixture gets a position number on your new floor plan, and the crew places fixtures to those numbers — so your team can start dressing displays as soon as the fixtures are in, not after a day of rearranging.

Stock Control During the Move

Stock that disappears in a move is lost money, so it travels under the same counted, sealed and signed process we use for confidential records.

  1. SEALED

    Counted, Sealed and Signed

Stock is counted and packed by your team, or with your team present. Each carton is sealed and numbered, and the carton numbers and contents go onto an inventory sheet. That sheet is signed at loading and signed again when the cartons are counted at the new site.

  2. SEPARATE

High-Value Stock Has Its Own Plan

For luxury showrooms moving watches, jewellery or similar, your insurer may require a specialist secure transport company for the goods themselves. In that case we move the fixtures, the displays and the rest of the store, and we match our timeline to the secure transport slot.

If the fit-out at the new unit runs late, stock and fixtures can go into storage and be delivered when the unit is handed over — which is a far better outcome than stock sitting in a corridor behind a hoarding.

Mall and Building Rules Your Business Handles

Moving a store involves approvals on your side. We do not apply for them, but we plan the move around them and provide whatever the landlord asks for from the moving company.

  • Mall Move Permits

Malls usually need a move permit from mall management, a booked loading dock and service corridor, and passes for every crew member. Most allow moves only after closing time. We supply our crew list and certificate of insurance to your store manager for the application.

  • Fit-Out at the New Unit

New units in malls and retail centres need fit-out approval from the landlord, which your fit-out contractor handles. We plan the move for after the fit-out is complete and handed over — not alongside it.

  • Trade Licence & Signage

Update your trade licence address with Dubai Economy and Tourism or your free zone authority. New external signage usually needs its own permit, which your signage contractor or PRO arranges.

Our Process for Moving a Showroom

Eight stages, built backwards from your opening date. Three of them happen while you are still trading.

  1. Showroom Survey

We walk both sites, list every fixture and display, estimate stock volume and check loading docks and service routes.

  2. Move Plan

Dates are set around your last trading day, the end of your fit-out and your opening date.

  3. Back-of-House First

Stock rooms, head office items and spare fixtures move in the days before closing, while you are still trading.

  4. Last Day of Trading

After closing, displays are photographed, stock is counted and sealed, and the fixtures are dismantled.

  5. Overnight Move

Fixtures, glass and stock travel in closed trucks, inside the mall’s move window at both ends.

  6. Fixtures Placed

Each fixture goes to its numbered position on the new floor plan, ready for your team to dress.

  7. Stock Check

Cartons are counted against the inventory with your store manager present before anything is signed off.

  8. Old Unit Cleared

We empty the old unit so it can be handed back to the landlord, packing waste included.

Timing the Move Around Your Trading Calendar

Every other office move is scheduled around a lease date. A showroom move is scheduled around a till.

The Problem

Every closed day is lost sales

Most showrooms trade right through the last day at the old site and move overnight after closing. Larger stores move stock and back-of-house in the days before, so the final night only has to cover the shop floor.

The Problem

The wrong month costs more than the move

Avoid moving in your busiest weeks. For most Dubai retailers that means staying clear of the Dubai Shopping Festival, the weeks before Eid, and the late-November sale period. A move in a slower month gives your team the time to set the new site up properly — and we would rather tell you that than take the booking.

Areas We Cover

We move showrooms and retail offices across Dubai, including the major malls, and we handle retail office relocation between Dubai and the other emirates.

Moving to or from another emirate? We handle that too — a cross-emirate showroom move uses the same photographs, the same numbered fixtures and the same sealed stock inventory, with the drive in between.
